After three weeks of vacations, this is workout time for the skicross athletes.

On the program, dryland and ski trainings.

To start, 2 weeks of dryland between Bourg-Saint-Maurice and Albertville for Marielle. The goal is to set the bases for the upcoming season.

Then, the team went on a 6 day trip in Corsica. The goal was simple: link the efforts!! 4 road bike rides were scheduled, with about 100 km per day in average and up to 3000 meters of positive grade (yes, Corsica is mountainous!).

Between those stages of biking, 2 days of hike on the famous GR20 itinerary. 7 ½ hours of walk per day and unfortunately without a great weather, but the team could still enjoy the beautiful landscapes.

According to Marielle: “I already did this itinerary four years ago when I did the whole GR20 with the Les Arcs ski team, but I am always amazed by the scenery! The consecutives loads of trainings are not easy, but this is an excellent exercise for both physical and mental conditions.”

Then direction Val d’Isère with the ski gear. The weather conditions were great, even if there was less snow than the previous year, the nights are cold and the athletes could ski on a good snow early in the morning. 6 am to enjoy that!

During July and August, Marielle will keep doing physical trainings, until September, when she will bring the skis to the Swiss glaciers.

The July and August dryland session will be a mix of different activities, such as road biking, weight lifting, rock climbing, gymnastics, hiking, balance and many others. A beautiful program for this summer.
